* A Limpopo policeman was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment by the Mokopane Circuit Court on Wednesday for murdering a man in a road rage attack in 2003. Inspector Moruti Elias Makofane (41) shot his victim, Abner Ntsoane, after a collision in Lebowakgomo. He was also sentenced to 18 months for drinking and driving. - News24
* A North West game farmer and his teenage son will be tried in the Mafikeng circuit of the High Court next week on charges of killing and burning two men. The 54-year-old farmer and his 16-year-old son are accused of killing Sello Morris Morua and Zacharia Leso of Ramokokastad near Sun City in April last year. - News24
* The SABC will be allowed to broadcast regional television programmes on two stations in official languages other than English, Icasa announced this week. Icasa will grant the SABC two regional TV broadcasting licences for this purpose. The issuing of these licences is suspended pending the SABC procuring appropriate and sufficient funding to Icasa's satisfaction. - The Witness
